Levvr is a semantic database with a semantic information model at its core. The word "semantic" meand "meaningful. this means that within levvr, different types of information are interrelated through meaningful relations.

To build a semantic model, we have three building blocks:

  1. Nodes

  2. Fields

  3. Relations

Together, they are all you need to build the model.

An example of a visual representation of a model, as available in levvr, is shown below. This model shows all building blocks and how they make up a model:

  • The nodes (circles) always represent a certain information type.

  • The fields (shown as a list) are an intrinsic part of the node and can be of different types. Examples of field types are: text, picklist, Auto ID.

  • The relations have a semantic meaning, direction and a behaviour and are shown as arrows between two nodes.
